Residential rehabilitation

Anyone seeking residential rehabilitation must be in one of the three drug and alcohol services in Borders (Borders Addiction Service, We Are With You, Chimes).  Assessment for readiness including discussion around expectations and motivation should be completed by most suitable worker within drug and alcohol service  

Triage to be completed by Borders Addiction Service.

Multi-disciplinary Assessment Panel will consider information provided through referral and provide decision to referrer. Preparation for residential rehab to commence including choice of rehabilitation and detoxification.

Those who are not offered progression to a place in residential rehabilitation will be offered ongoing work within the most appropriate drug and alcohol service.

Key worker to provide support pre-rehab ensuring links with housing where applicable are made.

Ongoing support to be provided by We Are With You and BAS during rehab phase and post rehab. 

Who to refer, who not to refer, how to refer

In order for someone to access Residential Rehabilitation, they must be first be referred to either BAS, We Are With You or Chimes, which can be accessed through self referral.  The drug service will then carry out an assessment for Residential Rehab and refer them on if appropriate.
